Hebrews 13:17-25 - Final Words
The book of Hebrews ends with a few final exhortations, a benediction, and a greeting. Now let's go live for Jesus.
Hebrews 13:7-16 - Led to Jesus
As a final plea, the writer of Hebrews encourages his readers to be led to Jesus, who is so much better in every way.
Hebrews 13:1-6 - How Then Should We Live
In grateful response to all that we have in Christ, we should show brotherly love to each other, be hospitable, have compassion on those who are suffering, honor marriage, be content, and trust in Jesus as our Helper.
Hebrews 12:18-29 - Unshakeable Kingdom
We have not come to Mt. Sinai, but we have come to Mt. Zion. Therefore, let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken.
Hebrews 12:3-17 - The Discipline of God
God discipline those who he loves. If we are God's children, he is going to chastise us when we go astray in sin. The Father calls us to be strengthened by his grace as we look to Jesus, our Savior, who resisted sin to the point of shedding his blood.
Hebrews 12:1-2 - Looking to Jesus
We are in a race of faith, therefore let us run with endurance, looking to Jesus.
Hebrews 11:32-40 - Faith Perfected
Jesus is our perfect example of faith. As Christians, since we are in Him, God sees our faith as perfect, too.
Hebrews 11:23-31 - Families of Faith
Continuing in the "Hall of Faith" we see Moses, Joshua, and Rahab. What stands out is the faith that Moses' parents had to save Moses when he was a baby. Faith is important as we raise our families. Thanks to Amram and Jochebed we have the life of Moses.
Hebrews 11:17-22 - Jesus is Better
Our Calvary High leader, Ryan Reeves, gives us a message of how Jesus is simply better than all we can ask for or imagine.
Hebrews 11:8-16 - Abraham, Israel, and Heaven
By faith Abraham and Sarah dwelled as sojourners in the land of promise. Israel is the land that was promised to Abraham's descendants. Even still, there is a better country, a heavenly one, coming for all who trust in Jesus.
Hebrews 11:1-7 - People of Faith
This chapter has often been called The Hall of Faith, but it really just includes ordinary people with ordinary faith. We have the same God as these saints of old, and we can draw near to him in the same way, through faith.
Hebrews 10:36-39 - A Strong Warning and Encouragment
This section is one of the strongest warnings in all of scripture, but it is also a strong encouragement to hold fast to faith in Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:19-25 - Let Us
We have been given full and complete access to God by the blood of Jesus. We are encouraged to draw near to God, to hold fast to hope, and to come together as a church. Let us do this with true hearts and with full assurance.
Hebrews 10:1-18 - Jesus is Reality
When Jesus Christ came into this world he brought the reality of what the law only gave in shadows.
Hebrews 9:15-28 - Better Sacrifice
CCPV 3 Year Anniversary with a message from Pastor Tommy.
Hebrews 9:1-14 - Better Worship
Worship to God in the New Covenant is better than worship to God in the Old Covenant. The law leaves worshippers with an unsettled conscience, but grace allows worshippers to come to God freely with a purified conscience.
Hebrews 8:1-13 - The New and Better Covenant
Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenant, which is better than the Old Covenant, since it is enacted on better promises.
Hebrews 7:11-28 - A Better Hope
Jesus is both a King after the tribe of Judah, and a Priest after the order of Melchizedek. Jesus, our great King and High Priest, has introduced a better hope through which we draw near to God. Jesus is able to save to the uttermost, those who draw near to God through him.
Hebrews 7:1-10 - Melchizedek, King and Priest
We finally come to find out who Melchizedek is and how Jesus is a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6:9-20 - Onward and Upward
After a strong warning, we receive a strong encouragement to anchor our souls in the hope of Jesus. As we patiently endure with faith we are to move onward and upward in our heavenly calling.
